Sleepy Creek Watershed Association is a nonprofit organization working to protect the Sleepy Creek watershed and to educate and assist community members to improve this irreplaceable natural resource for future generations.
We are involved in the community. We offer educational events about practical ways everyone can help take care of our local streams. We help farmers save topsoil and prevent stream bank erosion by connecting them with funding and volunteers. We provide information to help homeowners tap into funding and volunteers for septic repairs or replacement, neighborhood tree plantings, and other best management practices that reduce storm damage and keep our creeks clean.
