Hazardous Spills

There are two categories of spills: Minor Spills and Major Spills.

Minor Spill:
A minor spill does not present an immediate fire, safety, environmental, or health hazard to people in the area. To report a minor spill, call 304-926-0499.

Major Spill:
A major spill presents an immediate danger to life, health, safety, the environment, or is an immediate fire or explosion hazard, and requires prompt attention. To report a major spill into the Run or one of its tributaries, call 800-307-4800.

All Spills
Should Be Reported to the WV Department of Environmental Protection.

Stream Obstructions

To report a fallen tree in a stream, or a buildup of debris that could cause flooding, contact us by email with the location of the obstruction and with any other pertinent details.

Fish Kills

A fish kill is a significant and sudden die-off of fish, often involving large numbers of fish dying over a short period and in a defined area. If you notice a number of dead fish in the Run, please take pictures if possible and call both 1-800-642-3074 and WSWA (see below).
